Sally Mills is a derelict mill in the village of Rathangan in Co. Kildare. We were passing through the village and saw this old building so we ventured in and were lucky enough to meet the owner. His family use to work the mill and he now lives in a house right beside it. It was last in operation sometime around the 1960s and since then it has been becoming more and more derelict.

All of the windows and doors are now closed up but a look inside reveals what resembles a secret garden, with trees and ivy decorating the beautiful stone walls. Parts of the roof are still in place and although it would require a great deal of work to restore it to some sort of working life, it could once again be a focal point for the village.
