Northbrook Cottage in Co. Galway is said to have been the seat of J. North in 1837 but other than that I can't find any other history for this house. If anyone has any information please get in touch.

The cottage is completely overgrown with ivy towards the front and it is well hidden among the trees. There are the usual fireplaces that are found throughout the house, with most of the rooms having one. In those days, fires would have been the only source of heat in the house and they would have been roaring on cold nights. The house has a good selection of outbuildings and a very impressive gate (see picture 15). Its been a while since the gate was used and Northbrook Cottage has long been forgotten.
