Renville Hall was once a very fine estate but is now an ivy covered ruin. Part of the demesne lands are a public park maintained by Galway County Council and this is a very popular place for people out walking, jogging and walking the dog.

As with many ruins a very striking feature is the fireplaces on the upper levels that appear to be suspended in mid air because all the floors are long gone. There is very little of the external walls that are not covered in ivy. Inside the house there are the remains of an old range and some beautiful arches. The walled garden has completely been taken over by nature and there is just a glimpse of what it was once like. Renville Hall would have been fantastic.
